      Hi everyone,
I need to have the check_mk agent running on pfSense. I'm able to put the agent script and the service definition snippet in the /var/etc/xinetd.con file. After a restart of Xinetd it work as it should, but the configuration file will always be overwritten by the GUI i guess and then not long after, the agent stop working.

Is there any way to configure a static xinetd service in pfSense 2.3 ?

      Many thanks

          Hi couillard,

I've run into the same issue as yourself getting check_mk agent running on pfSense 2.3.

I have managed to get it working with a persistent xinetd config that survives across reboots.

I'm in the process of writing a post detailing what I've done; I'll put a link to it here once I have. I should have it up sometime tonight.

          Joe

Sorry this is later that I said, busy weekend with Uni work.

I've created a post about how I got this working.
