Anyone has a way to shutdown pfsense when the power goes off?
We used to have nuts to do it.

        NUT package is close: https://github.com/pfsense/FreeBSD-ports/pull/120

TL;DR: two different people worked on it unknowingly, and then combined their efforts. Once he submits those changes in a couple days the pull request needs to be reviewed and tested then it should be back in.

        A big thanks to sander1988, and PiBa-NL, and sbeaver-netgate!

The existing nut package has been ported and released for 2.3. You should see it in the list of available packages.

FWIW, I am working on an new version that will bring the package in line with the current nut release, but I don't have an eta yet. Let me know if you would be interesting in testing.

              Yes, it worked!

We had a power failure early this morning and the machine ran until the batteries went out as I didn't have NUT installed yet.  I installed it when the power came back online, and conveniently we had another power outage a short time after.  The UPS hadn't sufficiently recharged from previously running down, so NUT detected the low battery and shut down the pfSense box pretty quickly.

I would love to help test the updated package.  Please let me know how I can help.

              Thanks!!!
