Help Needed Installing PFsense

Hi All
I'm having problems installing PFSense.
in the past I download it and saved to disk and install it and all worked fine,(or that's how I think I did it)
since then I have lost the disk I made and have come to make a new disk and I've downloaded PFSense in different ways and just cant get the disk to work,
can anyone please help and talk me though if step by step how to make a disk copy of PFSense.

In 2016 you usually install it from a USB stick (Memstick) to a HDD/SSD/CF-card/what-have-you
