Priorities
An LACP group can support up to 16 links. Up to 8 of these can be active, while the rest become standby links. LACP chooses which links become active by their port priority. Each LACP port can be configured with a priority number from 1 to 65535. The default priority is 32768. The lower the priority number the higher the priority.
In an LACP configuration with more than 8 links, the lowest port priorities are used to choose which of the links will be active, and which will be standby.
Each device has a system priority. This is used to decide which device gets to choose the active / standby links. The device with the highest priority (lowest number) gets to decide, and the other device’s preferences get ignored.
