It's back in the latest snapshots.

I's not really ignored, it's just not happening to anybody else (at least I haven't heared about it). I'm not sure if this is somehow pure-ftpd related (that it borked something or whatever). I would suggest reinstalling the latest testsnapshot from scratch and test again without having pure-ftpd installed. We are focusing at coredevelopement atm and pure-ftpd might just be broken and mess up something. This is a package not many people use and as Scott pointed out (and the description says as well), it's not meant to be installed at a machine running as firewall anyway.

Done. Together with the themerework I added: RSS-Feed Header information RSS-Link (top right of page) Link back to pfSense.org fixed some more black textcolors (btw, smf should rework their themesystem. You not really can call that themeing)

One way to tell if this is happening is that you will loose you're ethernet sync light every second or so.  Its pretty noticable if there is a problem. That SIS chipset bug has caused way more damage than good.  Really sucks when there are bugs in hardware chips.

None as of now, I haven't spent any time on this, but i know Progie and a few others are working on EVDO (means that ppp will be an option). Once that is done it should be a simple matter to add plip and kernel drivers to get modems and other serial communication to work.

That is correct.  Its been commited to RELENG_1 but there isnt a menu option for it. Update to http://www.pfsense.com/~sullrich/1.0-BETA1-TESTING-SNAPSHOT-1-29-06/ then surf to http://192.168.1.1/diag_logs_filter_dynamic.php ^^ Be sure to put you're correct HTTP/S and IP.

@Plecto: Im not asking for a network class, Im just wondering what abilities PFsense has to my advandidge? And if someone could explain that in "english" I would be very glad. We have no idea what features you want and our feature list is rather long.  If you can't understand what's written in plain english at http://pfsense.com/index.php?id=26 then I'm not sure how much more detail anyone else can go into. Here's the simplest possible thing I can tell you (and if it sounds familiar, it should, it's on the front page of the pfsense website) –Bill pfSense is a open source firewall derived from the m0n0wall operating system platform with radically different goals such as using Packet Filter, FreeBSD 6.X (or DragonFly BSD when ALTQ and CARP is finished) ALTQ for excellent packet queueing and finally an integrated package management system for extending the environment with new features.

Is this an upgraded system or a fresh install? I haven't seen this on a fresh installed system but I have seen this once on an upgraded system already. If it is upgraded, can you please reinstall it? I would suggest using one of the images from  http://pfsense.com/~sullrich/BETA2-BUGVALIDATION3/ .

Get a spinrite bootdisk and check your dirve when this happens. My bet is that your HD/CF is borked. Spinrite fixes tons of issues and is well worth the money imo.
