    @Perry:

    http://doc.pfsense.org/index.php/Why_can%27t_I_access_forwarded_ports_on_my_WAN_IP_from_my_LAN/OPTx_networks%3F

    Excellent!  Yeah I knew it was probably something simple that I wasn't seeing.  I was reading docs and searching the forums for hours and not seeing what I needed.  I will give this a try and post back results.  Thanks so much for the speedy response!

    Some people (especially gamers) turn off the NAT on the DSL modem and put it into "bridge mode" thereby eliminating one "hop" and double NAT.

    You should be able to ditch the Linksys router (unless you use it for wireless) but, as Cry Havok points out, you need to keep the DSL modem.

    This is pure guess, but under Status -> RRD Graphs -> Settings, there's a "Enables the RRD graphing backend." check box.

    I'd try un-checking it, saving setting, re-enabling it, save settings.

    This is kind of a "dumb GUI trick", but things like this sometimes work with GUI's.

    I have a bit of trouble finding where all of the logs are kept, but checking them is never a bad idea.

    Thanks, xibalba.

    This will be sufficient for present purposes.

    If anyone knows how to get SNMP working for disk I/O, it would be appreciated.

    @bilbus:

    is there a comand to stop services and start them. I do not want to use php, if i am going to use cron.
    Thanks

    I think you could use 'kill'.
    http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en/books/handbook/basics-daemons.html

    To start simply use either service name or complete path to application, depending on if it's in the "path" in the system.
    You should see that logging on to the shell and typing 'set' I think.

    Cheers,

    I'm working on this right now.
    Do you use radius auth? If not, is it an option?

    As a general rule, you always want to be running the most current release of software before reporting a bug.  1.2 was released more than 2 years ago and 1.2.2 has been out for a long time.  In fact, 1.2.3-RC1 is out now and literally thousands of bugs have been fixed in those 2 years.  I'm glad your problem was solved with a simple upgrade.

    I can confirm these cards on the j7f4e1g2 mobo won't work with vlans.  Other than that, you will have to find and ask someone with a similar setup to what you plan.  If you can avoid realtek, do so as if it were the plague.

    Good luck,
