I have been trialing a N5100 i226V tuofudon setup which is disconnecting continually.
The Intel EEE disable mitigation and many other suggested fixes from various commentators have no effect. They may work in certain circumstances but there is no guarantee, even with 2.7+ and 23.05+.
Choose a non Intel i225 / i226 setup and save yourself some grief.

It's interesting. It appears there's more to the issue than simply using the i225/6 NICs, like how they are implemented on the board. We see no issues with the i226-V NICs in the 8200 or 4200 for example.
Indeed. I have an N5105 with i225V B3 and now an N100 with i226V (the N5105 is a backup in case anything goes wrong) and had zero problems with either.
ServeTheHome has also reviewed many of these off Aliexpress and seemingly never had any issues.
I also have the Intel chips (can't remember which) in two desktop PCs with no issues.
