@stephenw10 Thanks for checking. All good now! Have not seen it since updating to the latest snapshot about a week ago.

That should be fixed in the next snapshot.

@w0w This error appears when unbound mode and live sync are selected on DNSBL settings, not always, can not reproduce this error on other firewall. This does not happen with python mode enabled.

Excellent! Thanks for the feedback. I tested every combination of bridges, vlans, qinqs and openvpns I could think of there and it looks good. There are a lot of possible combos though so let me know if you find anything. One thing this exposed is that the bridge interfaces handling in FreeBSD 14 does a few things differently. The MTU setting especially has changed. Setting the MTU on the bridge should now propagate that to all members. And conversely it will override any setting on a member interface. So in the current snapshot you should find interfaces that are bridge members have the MTU field greyed out. Steve

@stephenw10 I understand but @jimp mentioned 13628's root cause "might be" the same to that of 13642's and 13642 is solved already so I thought they have the same solution. But yeah, 13628 is still open so I guess I'm out of luck.

@jjstecchino well suck! I’m behind. I’ll give your proposal a try although it basically sat for 12 hours today. What a goofy way to authenticate.

I was able to replicate it twice after the reload. If you do a setup with 2.6 on the device, upgrade it to plus pushing it into 22.01, then do the upgrade to 22.05, and finally upgrade to the latest snapshot, I was able to wreck the EFI ZFS booting on the firewall.

@jjstecchino it’s going around today. Reboot the router and it should work again. I had the very same issue earlier.

It's possible you have a partial install on both the MMC and SSD and it's booting the wrong disk and thus kernel. https://docs.netgate.com/pfsense/en/latest/troubleshooting/boot-issues.html#multiple-disk-boot-issues You should wipe both the MMC and SSD and then reinstall to only the SSD, or at least wipe the MMC and then reinstall on SSD.
