    There is some PHP code, mostly to integrate with existing code, but most of it is written in go.

    It was just renamed (numbered?) since the actual release had to be pushed out.

    @behemyth said in kea-dhcp6 crashes:

    sometimes weekly depending on vulnerabilities that are found.

    Yes, of course. But vulnerabilities in pfsense are addressed as patches and NOT versions.
    Testing out a patch is rather trivial.
    Testing a new version with new functionality is another. And quite often, its not the bug, its the feature than makes things go flaky.

    No one professional enough, is running mission critical workloads without HA, BUT HA must also be tested.
    Changing major versions sometimes incur new things, for example single cast for carp instead if multicast.
    What I'm saying is that patching is something that a network team does and just needs small maintenance windows for that.
    Changing versions and introducing new functionality is another story.

    So, again, why 4 (or) 3 versions per year is important for you?

    @netblues an interim public snapshot would slow us down towards a GA release.

    Soon.

    @stephenw10 said in Tailscale doesn't start after 24.08 dev snapshot:

    If you just fetch it like that it will pull the github webpage not the script.

    Try: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/freebsd/freebsd-src/refs/heads/main/libexec/rc/rc.subr

    Indeed, I did now raw it. It was a bunch of HTML lol. Boot environments FTW!

    @KevinRice We all need to know if we are the solution or the problem. It's sometimes hard to differentiate.

    No. Please. Don't.

    Trust me, I have plenty of other things to do with my time.

    I have not seen a single package update since this build either (Suricata, pfBlockerNG, and the other usual suspects).

    @DarkFnh I'm also on 24.08.a.20240702.0600 and it's the latest version according to the update page.

    I ran into an issue with domain overrides ("Domain Overrides: 500 server error") 3 weeks ago and created a thread on this forum:

    https://forum.netgate.com/topic/189050/domain-overrides-500-server-error

    @marcosm did provide a patch (direct link to his post on the before mentioned thread: https://forum.netgate.com/post/1176028) which did solve it for me. Maybe his patch solves your issue.

    If you install the "System_Patches" package you can add his patch to your pfsense installation.

    @marcosm
    My fault, the restore was overwriting the 24.08 dev captiveportal.inc with the 24.03 stbl copy. The error does not occur with the correct file. Thank you for your efforts my apologies for my error.
