          Does it drop the link though?

          Do you see flow control enabled? ifconfig -v igc0

          Can you test against something other than the ONT? I can't replicate that locally.

                Unfortunately I can't do an Iperf test because there is no device on ONT but PfSense

                            The card performs well when plugged into a 1Gb port.
                            But if the 2.5Gb port is plugged in and 1Gbase is forced, the connection will still be lost.
                            But the port can't be faulty since I tested another network card with a 1Gb connection, the 2.5Gb port works fine with it
                            I suspect a cable but I'm already trying the 3 cables CAT5E CAT6

                              But you would see it logged if the ONT did reboot?

                              It's clearly doing something different . You still seeing nothing logged? No watchdog events in the sysctls? Same as the LM card?

                                @stephenw10 the ONT will not restart as it would take time for the PON network to compile. Yes, it's the same as the LM card. I have an acquaintance at the service provider who arrived with a new ONT I replaced it to see if the ONT still has the problem of the error only if it has this network card on it.

                                    @stephenw10 It is interesting to give you igc intel pro / 1000 for me, however, I225-V.

                                    I'll replace the ONT and see if that solves the problem

                                          I am looking at buying a card with an I225 on it. I will be using VLANs if that matters, and only running at 1Gbps for the foreseeable future.

                                          Is it safe to buy one? Reading this thread it seems like it should work, but maybe the early revisions of the chip are duff.

                                            @kuro68k works perfectly well for me with a 1Gb / s connection! However, with a 2.5Gb / s connection, you discard the network card under load
