    router randomly freezes

      re1 is the WAN interface and re0 is the LAN.
      the WAN interface seems to be stuck changing states. when this happens my devices lose internet connection and I can't access the web interface even tho I can still ping the router.
      disconnecting and reconnecting cables doesn't help nor rebooting the modem.
      I press the power button on the router, wait for it to shut down and then I boot it up again.
      this happens about once a week.

      in this log, it happened and I just rebooted the router.

        Hi,
        maybe thats a Realtek driver problem. Read this:

        Could be a possible solution ...

          Yup, that is the Realtek driver issue and using the alternative driver is the only potential solution. Other than swapping the NIC out for a better one.

              this fixed it seems to be working fine now. no problems so far.
