      Hi,

For a Lan, I'm considering running pfSense separately on a server. I'm expecting around a total of 350 + devices and planning to use Suricata and pfblockerNG and 2 isp links and a Point-to-Point Link

I would like to know, How many RAM and CPU cores need to manage 350+ users.

What WAN speed? Routing requirements are going to depend on what the users / devices are actually doing

@patch 100mbps speed links, just basic routing, users to the internet, and the P2P routing. users are normal users they used the internet for browsing and email

@tharinduudaya An Atom based box will suffice.

Is this peer to peer routing between LANs at higher speed than the WAN bandwidth?

And that's also 100Mbps? And the VPN is terminated in pfSense or is there some external VPN hardware?

The VPN encryption/decryption is probably going to be the biggest CPU load.

As long as it's 100Mbps or less and the Atom you choose is something recent, like C3000, you should be OK.

                                Steve
