@hypnosis4u2nv I am using a single-SSD ZFS installation of 2.6.0 on a Qotom box with no problems. You could try checking your disk(s) for errors, and running a memory/CPU test.

Curious, are any of you running it as a single disk also?

I run pfSense on the single SSD in my Qotom computer.

PfSense running on Qotom mini PC
i5 CPU, 4 GB memory, 32 GB SSD & 4 Intel Gb Ethernet ports.
        UniFi AC-Lite access point

        I haven't lost my mind. It's around here...somewhere...

As you can see in my signature - running on a single SSD Disk with ZFS.

it just feels sluggish on ZFS and unusable once it's configured with packages.

A box with those specs should have no problems. Something else is affecting it. Check the logs. Check the system activity (top output).

@bpsdtzpw Ran the tests and everything passed. I even tried UEFI and BIOS ZFS methods and still did the same thing.

@stephenw10 The problem with looking at the activity is that the system hangs and I can't see anything. I may be able to try and get the logs and post them here to see what may be causing it. Problem is I need to find my Edgerouter and use that while I play with pfSense.

If I give this a go again, what logs should I try to get for review?

Mostly the main system log. If it's some sort of drive issue where it's unable to write out the logs when it fails that will only be shown on the console.
The monitoring graphs may show something leading up to it if it's some resource exhaustion.
