I am in the woods here... a client has asked for BGP as the only option supported by the connection vendor.

Anybody has any experience regarding this?

I have read the docs but that doesnt make me confident....

@cool_corona BGP to do what? If you're hiring yourself out as an expert I suggest building a couple lab hosts and making it work as a first step.

@derelict I am not in this case.

I need connection from a clients location to a DC with a shared pfsense with a lot of vlans and I cant find that scenario anywhere and need some input to see if pfsense can handle excatly that and what influence it has on the DC side.

@cool_corona That doesn't tell anyone anything they need to help you. BGP is basically:

            1. establish a peering relationship
            2. exchange routes

People would just be guessing what you actually need above and beyond that.
