      @netboy Not likely. Your best bet for doing cellular is a device like Netgear's Nighthawk - something with a dataplan and an ETH connection.

        @netboy

        I did this by setting up a bridge device (some access points can be set as bridge (client) mode) and using my MIFI as a hot spot AP..

        Linksys used to sell a bridge unit which is what I used back when I did this. Now we have a Mofi in place permanently as our backup when the weather gets wild here.

          @chpalmer MOFI is not supported by Verizon. Off course you can cheat and buy a sim card for tablet but later when IMEI does not match your plan will not work. MOFI is also very expensive. I opted to buy travel router GL-AXT1800 (Slate AX) wifi6 and can be tethered by the phone! On top of it is travel router VPN etc. multiple uses and cost now is around $100 in amazon. This is for "emergency" purposes only. I will tether the phone USB with GL-AXT1800, GL-AXT1800 has 1 WAN port and 2 LAN port. How do I connect the GL-AXT1800 to netgate 2100? or should I connect the 2 LAN ports from GL-AXT1800 to my switches?

            @netboy Mofi works just fine on Verizon.. in fact my last one I took into the store to get it turned on. Ive got both a 4500 and a 5500 9191 and both on the same plan.

            Any method that one would use however to get an IP connection out of a carrier would work fine. I simply mentioned MOFI because that is what I use now.

              @chpalmer Thank you for the information. The Verizon chat person told they do not support it and hence my reservation. Nice to know it works.

                @netboy Got my GL-AXT1800 - Tethered my IPhone (verizon) got 40Mbps download! Good enough for me!

                I would like to connect my GL-AXT1800 (which is tethered to my iphone) to Netgate 2100 WAN so that all my further connections to the switch need not be altered. how do I do it?

                Basically I want the Netgate 2100 WAN to source it from GL-AXT1800.

                  Plug it into a LAN port on the GL?

                    @rcoleman-netgate To be sure I understand...connect one of the LAN ports (GL) to the WAN port in Netgate 2100?
