Lots of other similar issues reported this morning. My first guess would be a backend server problem at Netgate. Give it some time and see if it gets worked out automatically.

Seems to be back to normal again and was just able to install a package manually.

Yes. Works now, thank you. I was too impatient.

This appears to be happening again. I have a few that receive the same message.

Did anyone figure out a solution for this?

I have also noticed on firewall that won't allow packages to be installed via gui also have this. The pfSense plus connection or status is offline. These are all xg7100. 3 firewall so far have this issue. I have been able to update about 4 without issue.

Found the problem on our firewalls. Some of them had a dns resolver entry for netgate domain to local host. Deleted the entry and fixed. 🤦

Yeah, I (deliberaly) had one too for 'ews.netgate.com' as the firewall used to not respond properly if the WAN went offline and it couldn't talk to that address.

Hopefully Netgate have fixed that issue now...

On the previous version, having that entry never caused a problem.🤔

I've never heard of this... and I've been here two years.

Here is but one example from over 4 years ago. Redmine

I don't know if it's been formally lodged as an issue - I just recall suffering from it myself and reading about others that also do.

Adding a DNS resolver entry to 'localhost' made the issue go away and the webpage fully responsive again.

@manicmoose dashboard wasn't loading a while back. That's why we had the entry...
