I only see this error and it doesn't log anything in the system logs.

@superpaul209 have you applied all the recommended patches in System Patches.

Also wondering if it's related to this: Bug #13776

@cappie When looking in the system patches page, there are none available
            e541a2e9-dfe5-4ae1-a9f0-19f8817f40a9-image.png

Only 2 fixes that I have applied manually after a report on the forum.

The bug 13776 could be related to my issue, Im not 100% sure.

You need to update the System Patches package in the package manager.

Can you run top -HaSP at the console command line? That should give you the same output that system activity usually shows.

              Steve

@stephenw10 I have updated the system patches package and applied all recommended fixes.

Also the output of the command :

                Invalid locale

Ok, interesting. However you can't run that in the gui Command Prompt page.
It has to be act the actual command line, so using the console directly or via SSH.

                  Also try running locale -a
That should show a large list of locale files.

@stephenw10 it runs well in SSH

                    824a2a21-bbe9-445a-ae96-86ce0c5abfd8-image.png

and the locale -a command shows a long list of localizations :

                    C
                    C.UTF-8
                    POSIX
                    .................

I can't post the list, its too long.

@superpaul209 @stephenw10 can confirm if I switch my language to French I will get the same error "Unable to gather system activity (1)" in the GUI but can successfully run top -HaSP via ssh command line.

@superpaul209 No fix yet, but if you star the issue on Redmine you will receive updates on the progress. Or add it to your RSS reader.

๐Ÿ™Œ yeah that's what I thought too, I linked to that earlier but didn't have time to test. Glad to see my old brain can still function that early in the am.
