@ionutit For Netgate devices they are the same thing.

We will change a device's support listing when users express concern or worry about the label displayed on their dashboard.

In TAC we have zero difference in provided support level between Netgate devices with Community Support and Netgate devices with TAC Lite.

Will you please change mine? I sent my Netgate ID to @stephenw10. I might be selling mine and replacing it with an 8200. Thanks.

I also recently purchased a 6100 Max which I love. I also received only Community Support and said I should Tac Lite support.

To be clear all Netgate devices are covered by TAC Lite. It's only the additional support subscription that shows like that. The coverage is identical.

Which is why I won't be changing these things -- as long as it is a Netgate device it will get updates. Changes are not needed.

Why not just have this there by default for all Netgate devices? It's nice seeing the date which, in theory, aligns to the warranty period.

@defenderllc Because TAC Lite doesn't expire with the warranty. TAC Lite follows the lifetime of the device.

Expiration of TAC Lite on non-Netgate devices will keep you from accessing updates in future releases of pfSense Plus.

Makes sense. So now I’m curious what happens if I keep my 6100 MAX past the date above. Sorry, I didn’t realize this was a manual thing.

@defenderllc Nothing should happen - the update checks send the serial number as well. But if it does -- open a ticket.

Thanks man. I won’t ask for this again if I end up buying an 8200 when they come back in stock. I’d like the extra cores and RAM.
