    I tried it today from console on the SG-3100 and got the following:

    0) Logout (SSH only) 9) pfTop
     1) Assign Interfaces 10) Filter Logs
     2) Set interface(s) IP address 11) Restart webConfigurator
     3) Reset webConfigurator password 12) PHP shell + Netgate pfSense Plus tools
     4) Reset to factory defaults 13) Update from console
     5) Reboot system 14) Disable Secure Shell (sshd)
     6) Halt system 15) Restore recent configuration
     7) Ping host                         16) Restart PHP-FPM
     8) Shell

    Enter an option: 13

    Not sure what I should try next. Is this what everyone else saw on failures?

      @s0m3f00l Usually others have seen a certificate error. Does it still show 23.05 is available? If not try
      https://docs.netgate.com/pfsense/en/latest/troubleshooting/upgrades.html#upgrade-not-offered-library-errors

      Pre-2.7.2/23.09: Only install packages for your version, or risk breaking it. Select your branch in System/Update/Update Settings.
      When upgrading, allow 10-15 minutes to restart, or more depending on packages and device speed.

          @s0m3f00l

          This is exactly the same error I get on my SG-3100 when trying to update via the CLI, although I never got as far as you did trying to apply the update.

          If you try via the Web GUI, do you get the ā€˜another instance’ error?

          FYI, there’s a thread for that error here: https://forum.netgate.com/topic/179393/another-instance-of-pfsense-upgrade-is-running-try-again-later/9
