      Hi!
I've determined /etc/rc.filter_configure_sync is the cause of our hickup problem that is occuring every 15 minutes.
      This is the cron entry:
      0,15,30,45 * * * * root /etc/rc.filter_configure_sync

I have no idea where it comes from. Looking at the backup files, it was appended to cron a year ago, but we started noticing the few second hickup as our office switched to homeoffice. System log tells me it is soem sort of firewall restart/reload . I've tried deletd all the schedules, the cronjob is still there. I'm afraid to remove it manually, since it's a production pfsense. Any idea how to get rid of the hickups?
      Thanx

Have you applied the recommended system patches? Those are in 2.7 already, try that if you can.
