      @stephenw10

      well the device is out of warranty in any event. I believe we are going to get them to replace them with newer hardware that carries a warranty.

      i'll probably end up using this fw with a manual switch on it for projects or a test bed

        I'm looking for replacement PSUs for XG-7100's as well - I have several that I'd like to keep running now that the devices are out of warranty and the original power supplies are failing.

        Has anyone found a suitable replacement aftermarket PSU?

          Did you speak to our sales/TAC guys? I'd try that first.

            @mstrong hey man yeah, I did end up getting a replacement off of Amazon.

            The caveat, however is that the 7100 PSU uses ONLY the cpu power connector, so the one they have loaded in there triggers on/off using magic is seems.

            That being said, we did get an ATX power trigger switch to power up the firewall

            Like one of these
            DKARDU 2 Pack 24 Pin ATX Red LED Power On/Off Switch Jumper Bridge Adapter Cable for Pulsing Water Cooling Pump On and Off, 55cm https://a.co/d/3elADXH

            I'd give you the exact psu, but I have to check with our purchasing, it's not on my Amazon account and I'm off today. It was like 150 bucks and was approximately the same physical size though. Pretty sure it was one of the ones previously recommended in this thread.

              @stephenw10 netgate has none and won't sell individual hardware components. They say "send it in" and then they will replace the PSU, however none of the 7100s are in warranty anymore.

              This means that everyone who bought a 7100 is left in the cold with a very expensive paperweight.

                Hmm, I thought we did have some now. Might be for internal use only. šŸ¤”

                    @mstrong

                    this is the one we got:

                    https://www.amazon.ca/SilverStone-Technology-Supply-Connector-SST-FX350-G-USA/dp/B07QGMX5DW?th=1

                    So this PSU, with the atx switch wire:
                    https://a.co/d/3elADXH

                    will run your 7100.

                      @dmad said in XG-7100-1U PSU:

                      https://www.amazon.ca/SilverStone-Technology-Supply-Connector-SST-FX350-G-USA/dp/B07QGMX5DW?th=1

                      Thanks for sharing dmad! I thought it would be a lot easier to source a flex atx 1U power supply under $100 - I guess that's why these are failing so often lol.

                      @stephenw10 Netgate Sales wants me to ship my bad PSU back and then sell me a failed-then-refurbished replacement Channel Well 150W PSU for $65. I'd rather not go through all that trouble and still have the exact same dubious PSU.

                        @mstrong well it is a standard size, and that's 150 canadian dollars.. i'm sure you could find a cheaper PSU if you looked hard enough.

                          Hi,

                          New problem with a XG-7100 power supply, today.
                          The third in 2 years...

                          My reseller told me he has no more stock. So, I am looking to alternatives. Do you have some power supply references I can buy somewhere ?

                          I found a CWT fsak150j, which seems compatible, but no way to buy it on the Web
