pfSense on Watchguard M370

Yep - enabled serial ports in the installer, and verified it installed to ada0. I will clear the mstata and try again and report back.

@Nerd2600 All set. I needed to expunge the meta data on the mSata.

@hangmansnoose001380 Can you DM me the BIOS-File please?
-
@Carnivore-0 Anyone have a copy of the non-passworded bios, it would be gratefully appreciated.
-
@Carnivore-0 the password has been known for some time and can be found here in the thread if you scroll through the posts ;-)

PM sent regarding the bios file. I never actually used it myself after the password was found and speedshift support appeared in FreeBSD.

@stephenw10 Grateful Sir for the information and thank you for the response.

Where can I get the serial installer? The download page says snapshots are disabled and there are no packages to download anywhere. The only thing to find is going with the Netgate download, which is free so that's fine, but the download options there just include the "memstick USB" option, not memstick-serial.
I'm reading that Netgate changed their installer last year to make things easier. But that you now require an active internet connection, which is a little annoying.
So, I can go with the pfSense-CE-memstick-serial-2.7.2-RELEASE-amd64.img.gz which I found online. But my question is, how about the new "memstick USB" option? Does that work to install on the WG Firebox M3707470/570?

Yes, you can use the Net Installer. Just be sure to enable the serial console in the installer so it boots to that in the resulting install. The installer itself will show on both consoles.

@stephenw10 I don't have enough points to upvote, so I'll just say thank you Stephen
!
Now, if the seller agrees to selling me that M570, I should be good to tackle this thanks to all the good info supplied by the community in this thread :)
