Thats quite a neat box you have there.  Any chance of donating one to the devs? :)

hmmm maybe we could come to some arrangement

I'm with hoba.  This thing needs ears for rack mounting! :)

That's an awesome solution.  I'm almost certainly picking one of them up for our data center.  Very nice indeed.

Just get in contact with us: coreteam@pfsense.com

We'll get pfSense installed, certify it then list it on our site as a supported platform.

            I suddenly have a question….

What are the dimensions of this thing?  Could you fit two of them side-by-side in a 1u space?  I'm just thinking failover scenario. ;)

I might just have to do some case modding....

              Dimensions are as on the website ;-) 161mm x 240mm x 44mm

I can't fit 2 side by side in our standard 19" rack :-(

                Hmmm…something doesn't add up  ???

                240 millimeters = 9.4488189 inches

                9.4488189 x 2 =  18.8976378

                18.8976378 < 19

I know I suck at math, but how exactly does it not fit in your standard 19" rack? :P

Unless your 19" rack isn't 19".  What does that make it then? :D

I've seen a lot of devices which arn't exactly 19" on the head. The only thing required are the mounting arms, heck I've seen 12" wide devices mount in a 1U setup with some long arms….this is typically found smaller server rooms(less than 100 servers).

BTW, the device looks good. Request for on your site have the USD prices also:)

I was of the impression that he means the box is too big, not too small. That's what ears are for, to bridge the width gap.  If alll I have to do is bend and drill some ears, this will work.  If they're too wide, it's a no-go.

19" refers to the overall width including the vertical rack strip with the square holes in it.

Unfortunately 2 of these boxes will not fit between the vertical rack strips in our rack.

                        Nick.

You're right, I measured.  17 1/4 is realy what is available, not 19".

Thanks.  Any chance of ears anyway?  ;D

There is a currency selection box, at the bottom left of the page.

We now have new stock of this FX5620 unit, and we have contributed one to the project, which has been sent to sullrich.

                              Hello

A few question about this product.

                              1. I currently live in Sweden, Can I still order it ?
                              2. Witch NIC cards are you using in this product ?
                              3. I notice that you use the case as a heastsink, how hot get the top of the case ?
                              4. Are you able to bundle this product with a Wireless mini pci card and pfSense before shipping,
Having a "out of the box" router with wireless and pfsense would ease the installation of many user.
                              5. In Sweden, We use European adapter, will the power adapter that came with this product work in Sewden ? ,I noticed that you also sell European C5 Power Lead, will that cable work with the power adapter ?

                              /Thanks

Some of the info you ask is at their page (nic types):

                                6 RJ45 LAN Ports

                                * 5 x 10/100 Realtek 8139
                                    * 1 x 10/100/1000 Realtek 8169

For the rest I think you get the fastes reply by mailing LinITX directly.

I get this box today and have a small question.
When I "Halt system" through WEB or cmd, it dosn't power off the router, do you know why and how can I add this "future" ?
