      I'd like to assist to test, but not with failover, since i have no such config…

          would like to help you in testing. i have both environments with or without failvover (not carp).

                        Dual Wan DSL with routers handling Static PPPoE. One PPPoE has dynamic Gateways other Static.
                        Public DNS round robin.
