    on the squid page

    ERROR
The requested URL could not be retrieved

    down the line it states

    The following error was encountered:

    Connection to Failed

"Connection to Failed does not make much sense"

    squid/2.6.STABLE21

also on the package list for 1.2.1 rc1 2.6.21 it states BETA on the site and not STABLE like the squid page reports

Beta is used for the pfsense package… it's using the szable package of squid but it's marked as a beta package FOR pfsense...

      connection for failed ?

which site are you trying to connect to ?

does it also show this if the box is checked ?
i believe this might be because there's no sitename… i'll crosscheck the squid error-files...
              you have an error-id ?

if the box is checked since traffic does not get forwarded i get no error and it just times out

if the box is not checked i get the error listed above

i did not find an error-id

no there isn't  its supposed to go to the error page but it seems like the error page does not like the internal ip?

the 10.0.0.1 is my vip carp ip

                      thats irritating…
but here in my setup it's equal...

no site listening on the host and no error...

                      seems normal !?

so the REAL LAN IP of the firewall is 10.0.0.2  but the VIP is 10.0.0.1

                        if i type http://10.0.0.1

here is the error page i get

                        ERROR
