    I have an Alix board but I keep getting

    ath0: ath_chan_set: unable to reset channel 8 (2447 MHz, flags 0x480), hal status 3

    Fatal trap 12: page fault while in kernel mode
    cpuid = 0; apic id = 00
    fault virtual address  = 0xe
    fault code              = supervisor read, page not present
    instruction pointer    = 0x20:0xc0616d9a
    stack pointer          = 0x28:0xc27e1ba8
    frame pointer          = 0x28:0xc27e1c0c
    code segment            = base 0x0, limit 0xfffff, type 0x1b
                            = DPL 0, pres 1, def32 1, gran 1
    processor eflags        = interrupt enabled, resume, IOPL = 0
    current process        = 12 (swi4: clock)
    trap number            = 12
    panic: page fault
    cpuid = 0
    Uptime: 1m35s
    Cannot dump. Device not defined or unavailable.
    Automatic reboot in 15 seconds - press a key on the console to abort

    This happens every time I try to active the wireless. The wireless chip is a AR9220 I have tried both 18/01/11 and 31/12/10 buids but both do the same.

      Can you load the newly created developer on the board and try to get a panic.  Installation instructions are at the end of http://forum.pfsense.org/index.php/topic,31721.45.html.
      Not sure if it works on nano, but I do know it works on full.

        I am also getting

        ath0: ath_chan_set: unable to reset channel

        ath0: ath_reset: unable to reset hardware; hal status 3

        So this maybe a hardware or driver issue.

          That is a firmware issue.
          Possibly a new firmware might be needed but i cannot have the card to test.

            So are there drivers for the Atheros AR9220? Sorry but I wasn't able to confirm this from searches as the posts were over 1 year old.

                Same here:
                ath0: unable to reset hardware; hal status 3
                ath0: ath_chan_set: unable to reset channel 13 (2472 MHz, flags 0xa0), hal status 3
                ath0: ath_chan_set: unable to reset channel 2 (2417 MHz, flags 0xa0), hal status 3
                and so on…

                Seems somebody tries to fix it (10. March 2011):
