      Geeks,

I need your help. Newbie here but can follow instructions. Have 4MB connectivity from ISP and i need to split 2MB for a client and use 2MB for us. New to pfsense, running on LiveCD. I have 5 Public IPs. (62.x.x.192/21)

I went through the forum and some other support sites but could not figure it out.

Any step by step instruction would be highly appreciated.

      Thanks in advance.

Traffic Shaping is what you're after.  I'd start with the stickies at the top of this (Traffic Shaping) forum.

Thanks for the reply. Traffic shaping is for controling the bandwidth. Thats ok. But what about having a public IP on the LAN side? THe client is insisting the Public IP and they will use their own devices such as firewall and routers it seems.

I simply add a DMZ IP (192.168.1.10) and they do not need a class C address. I have 5 public IPs (Static) on the WAN side. How to set this up for them?

          Please help…

Thank you very much for taking me to the right path. This is what i am looking for but the explanation is bit hard for me to configure as my networking knowledge is limited - to be honest. My target is only spliting the BW to 2MB and giving the client a public IP. Anyone willing to gimme a step by step guide to do this? Please help.

You're probably best paying for the commercial support service that's available since it sounds like you're massively out of your depth.
