[Unbound]Error in system log after upgrading
-
I just upgraded PF to latest snapshot including Unbound, and I received the following error in system log.
I didn't change any settings in PF and Unbound so I got no idea why it's happening here…
Aug 13 19:59:16 php: : The command '/usr/local/sbin/unbound-control load_cache < /var/tmp/unbound_cache' returned exit code '1', the output was '[1313236756] unbound-control[63274:0] debug: address ::1 port 953 [1313236756] unbound-control[63274:0] error: connect: Operation not permitted' Aug 13 19:59:16 php: : The command '/usr/local/sbin/unbound-control load_cache < /var/tmp/unbound_cache' returned exit code '1', the output was '[1313236756] unbound-control[62977:0] debug: address ::1 port 953 [1313236756] unbound-control[62977:0] error: connect: Operation not permitted' Aug 13 19:59:15 php: : The command '/usr/local/sbin/unbound-control start' returned exit code '1', the output was '[1313236755] unbound[62796:0] error: bind: address already in use [1313236755] unbound[62796:0] fatal error: could not open ports' Aug 13 19:59:11 php: : The command '/usr/local/sbin/unbound-control dump_cache > /var/tmp/unbound_cache' returned exit code '1', the output was '' Aug 13 19:59:10 php: : The command '/usr/local/sbin/unbound-control load_cache < /var/tmp/unbound_cache' returned exit code '1', the output was '[1313236750] unbound-control[44195:0] debug: address ::1 port 953 [1313236750] unbound-control[44195:0] error: connect: Operation not permitted' Aug 13 19:59:09 php: : The command '/usr/local/sbin/unbound-control dump_cache > /var/tmp/unbound_cache' returned exit code '1', the output was '' Aug 13 19:59:09 php: : The command '/usr/local/sbin/unbound-control load_cache < /var/tmp/unbound_cache' returned exit code '1', the output was '[1313236749] unbound-control[41108:0] debug: address ::1 port 953 [1313236749] unbound-control[41108:0] error: connect: Operation not permitted' Aug 13 19:59:08 php: : The command '/usr/local/sbin/unbound-control dump_cache > /var/tmp/unbound_cache' returned exit code '1', the output was '' Aug 13 19:59:07 php: : The command '/usr/local/sbin/unbound-control load_cache < /var/tmp/unbound_cache' returned exit code '1', the output was '[1313236747] unbound-control[37843:0] debug: address ::1 port 953 [1313236747] unbound-control[37843:0] error: connect: Operation not permitted' Aug 13 19:59:06 php: : The command '/usr/local/sbin/unbound-control dump_cache > /var/tmp/unbound_cache' returned exit code '1', the output was ''

In Unbound Status
[1313246220] unbound-control[57407:0] debug: address ::1 port 953 [1313246220] unbound-control[57407:0] error: connect: Operation not permitted
I can only use other public DNS:(((

Should be fixed now, so reinstall the package.

thanks for reply but I can not re install the package….
the process always stops here:
excuting custom php install commond()I have tried several times but no luck.....
-
hrmm thats typical of something not resolving or connectivity problems - try disable unbound and enable dnsforwarder (dnsmasq) and then try reinstall the unbound package.

Actually I am now using Google public dns (8.8.8.8) in PF… So it should be no problem with the resolving since I can open most of website here.
Can you tell me what's the web that Unbound is going to resolve and I can try to visit it directly from my pc? We will see if we can open it or not.
Anyway, thanks for your help!

I tired a backup file in the past and install the latest version of PF and Unbound. it seems no problem.
But when I tried to enable the Unbound, it give the following error:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function is_ipaddrv6() in /usr/local/pkg/unbound.inc on line 769
-
I removed the records in DNS forwarder then reinstall the package, it seems no problem any more.
however there comes a new problem, I can't visit the Unbound DNS Status Page. When I opened that page, it comes back to the Unbound DNS settings page..
Any ideas of this?
Thanks a lot for reply~~:)

Well, I think I solved the issue..
Before install the package, I need to disable DNS forwarder firstly.
Then install the package and it should be all right.One more question, I found I can't add any record in DNS forwarder, otherwise it will break the Unbound DNS.
So where should I add record now?
-
bah! Nope i see the problem. In the effort to support IPv6 I go and break non-IPv6 installs. I'll fix.
-
Ok committed a fix for this, so give it another go please.
-
It should be no problem. I have installed the latest version.
thanks for your quick help~~:)))
