So after the latest snapshot.. I can now list my modems…

      However.. the interfaces shows this:

      3IRELAND interface (ppp1)
      Status up
      PPP
      Uptime 00:00:0
      Cell Signal (RSSI) rssi:20 level:-73dBm percent:65%
      Cell Mode WCDMA, WCDMA Mode
Cell SIM State Valid SIM State
      Cell Service No Service
      MAC address 00:00:00:00:00:00
      IPv6 Link Local	 fe80::212:3fff:feac:3650
      In/out packets 0/0 (0 bytes/0 bytes)
      In/out packets (pass) 0/0 (0 bytes/0 bytes)
      In/out packets (block) 0/44 (0 bytes/3 KB)
      In/out errors 0/0
      Collisions 0

      and the log shows this

Are you sure that the modem has enough signal strength there.
In the past that has been a major factor for not working modem.

          Hi
          Yes
If I plug this into a laptop(windows) it has full strength right beside my pfsense box. Interestingly.. this may be of help

          Last 50 system log entries
          Jun 27 09:54:10	php: /status_interfaces.php: Starting 3gstats.php on device 'cuaU0.2' for interface 'opt2'
          empt 422

          It says cuaU0.2
whereas,, my ppp connection is set to cuaU0.0

maybe that means something to you?

Usually the stats ports and modem port are different on USB dongles.
So that is not a problem.

            Cell Service No Service

            Hence the problem with singal.

Can you post the full logs of the chat from system log?

i will include inputs for this thread tomorrow.. will update to latest snapshot and try to work from it.

I have tried on 2.0.3, the 3G modem shows up in PPP interfaces, yet when i try to connect via status>interfaces… the pages just 'kinda' refresh? and it does not do anything.... there is a very good signal around where Pfsense is placed.

Where can we check Cell service and current signal strength?

I can confirm this, the PPPs page is broken again and my serial maintenance console gets killed. I've updated Bug #2433.
