Tested and working beautifully on 2.0.3!
Can we make something that installs this package automagically? :)

I've created a simple method to install this widescreen package on pfSense 2.0.3 (x86 or amd64), all info on the following link:

Should I assume it's working well for you ?Initially it was trying to pack 4 columns into the old space… refreshes didn't work but a reboot did. Looks great and the alternative repository made installation very smooth.
Thank you!I'd offered to pay a bounty and that still stands. Is this one totally your's or an extension of Rich's work? How/who does the bounty go to? Or should I just send it to Jim and Chris?

This is my work based on the previous widescreen 0.2 that was built for 1.2.3, and somewhat working on 2.0 (some menu entry where missing, display bug). I didn't use the work of Rich as his package works only on he 2.1 distrib. and there is too much changes on the GUI from 2.0 to 2.1.
Bounty $ will be greatly appreciated to keep the repository server up for the next years to come.

I want to be in that pool as well! Let me know of bank coordinates or if you prefer Western Union and how you want it.

Got it… and sent. Thank you again for your efforts not only on the package but the deployment scheme as well.
I'm seeing one small anomaly where the screen graphics don't align in the bottom right corner. But I've got what I need so I don't care if it can or will be fixed, just wanted to let you know.
Thanks,
Rick -
@Ramosel
Thank you, and regarding the footer display issue in the right corner, this is listed in the package description: - Fixed footer (somewhat).
I've seen the issue, but already spent 2 hours trying to fix it, without success, so I gave up as it is not really a show stopper.Fred

Where do you see that?

Where do you see that?
bottom right hand corner where the graphics line meets the copyright footer. Like he said, no biggie just an anomaly.

I am having a hard time finding this joke funny :?

I'm being as jovial as I can be on the issue. From what I can tell the "OMG Widescreen is broken" message has been received by everyone. For me, its not a show stopper since I never liked the old package one little bit. But if someone had one available that didn't break things half the time, I'd load it in a heart beat myself. It always made my system flakey in the past.
From what I can tell, even having upgraded with the widescreen package in place and then removing it continues to break things in the web gui.
