PfSense 2.2 Alpha/play build/snapshot

You apparently missed:
that we are moving to FreeBSD 10 for pfSense 2.2,
that the alpha for pfSense 2.2 dropped today,
and that FreeBSD 10 hasn't quite shipped yet (release builds began yesterday).I missed that the alpha for pfSense 2.2 dropped "today" (today was a post from 20 November 2013).
FreeBSD 10 RC1 is currently scheduled for 7 Dec 2013, and through to release announcement on 2 Jan 2014 - http://www.freebsd.org/releases/10.0R/schedule.html
Is there a 2.2 build/snapshot somewhere that boots and can be played with?
Or is that for after Christmas? -
The builder has produced an image, and it's seen some very limited internal testing, but we have not yet set things up for public consumption or automated snapshots
-
Hi jimp!.
Have some date to public test and public compiling images ?.
I buying the new Alix board today from pc engines and the hardware stuff is very new.
FreeBSD 10 is the way to go, not just by the new optimizations in clang, but the atheros 9280"N", ahaci new driver and other things. Thanks for your great work!.

there may be test images soon but they will be very, very, very alpha. Do not expect anything to work yet.
There are no packages yet, some features are very broken, some are in need of update/development, etc.
It is not something that anyone should consider running outside of a lab for a while.
It is the way forward, but it's not ready.
-
Yes, JimP is reporting "features" like this to himself (and the other devs I guess) - https://redmine.pfsense.org/issues/3353 - Clicking "Reload" at the end of the setup wizard causes a panic+reboot - it is probably worth getting the thing to run past the end of the setup wizard before bothering to put anything out there for others to play with ;)
-
Yes we have some images we're testing internally as we get at least the basics hashed out. We may enable snapshots in the near term but that is mostly so it's more automated and easier to test as things get committed.
pf is quite broken (as the bug reports I've managed to file so far show) and things get even more broken in other ways after a gitsync to come up to current master code.
So yeah, as mentioned: Here be dragons, at least until our Dragon Eradication/Vanquish team can clean it up.

Does 2.2 have Mellanox/Infiniband support ??

Does 2.2 have Mellanox/Infiniband support ??
This is the wrong thread to ask in. But short answer: FreeBSD 10.x has some, I do not believe we build it in, and I am not sure we will have any support for it any time soon in the GUI. It requires several extra kernel options and a non-default knob set to enable support during buildworld/kernel. Plus as far as I'm aware, we don't have any hardware to test against. So unless some serious donations of said hardware and monetary funding happens, it's unlikely. Even then it may be after 2.2.

Thanks Jim…
I'll be more than happy to be a guinea pig and supply feedback :D
And to be clear thats both on the OFED stack integration and 2.2 BETA -
Received the new PC Engines (Alix) board today. The APU Amd board. Just waiting the pfSense 2.2 build for tests. :).

Official FreeBSD 10 is announced:

That's 1 step closer to pfSense 2.2 ;) -

already tested.
Seems OK (about the speed of a FW-7541, really) except for some throughput tests over TCP, which suck. I blame the ethernet driver.
