Can't see virtual IP drop down
-
Hello All,
I never worked on Pfsense before. Now I have a project where I got a VOIP router with Pfsense OS. I set up the router able to login and did some primary config on LAN and WAN. I want to try 1 to 1 NAT and in which, I need to configure virtual IPs. But when I go to firewalls, click Virutal IPs, nothing is shows up. I don't see the 4 types of Virtual IPs it is supposed to show. It takes me to the home page. Any thought where I am going wrong?
Thanks

So you don't see the attached menu?
When you say home page you mean the dashboard?
Can you go to the URL directly? Which, if you haven't changed the default LAN address, would be:
http://192.168.1.1/firewall_virtual_ip.phpSteve

Hey Steve,
Thanks for your reply. Yes, it takes me to the dash board. I don't see the views that are in your attachment. I can go to the URL directly.

So going to the URL directly or using the menu both take you back to the dashboard?
Have you tried more than one browser?

I did change the LAN settings so I use different ip to login. When I click virtual ip, takes me to the dash board. Also I tried Chrome, IE and Mozilla firefox, no luck.

Hmm, weird. Which version and install type of pfSense are you running?
You should probably also check the logs, it sounds like something has gone bad. You can check the system log from the webgui but the http logs are console only. You can view them like so:
https://doc.pfsense.org/index.php/Why_can%27t_I_view_view_log_files_with_cat/grep/etc%3F_(clog)
clog /var/log/lighttpd.log
There is nothing in that log on my test box. (Hmm is that log even in use any more? :-)

Thanks Stephen. Looks like I have different level of access than the admin's so that is why I am not able to see the drop down :)

Ah, that would explain it. :)
