      Whats on Sticker or what linux gives?

        Anything is helpful.  :)
        However the best piece of information would be the PCI vendor and device IDs. You dan get that from lspci in Linux.

            You'll need to use 'lspci -nn' to show the pci ids.
            However I don't think there's a driver for the bcm43224 so you're probably out of luck.

              So the ID's are the following: 14e4:4353

              Found some discussions on the internet about an FreeBSD driver.
              Maybe possible to compile?

                Do you have a link to those discussions? I can only find references to there being no driver.

                        Unfortunately neither of those are helpful. They both refer to the Linux driver and pfSense is built on FreeBSD, which isn't Linux.

                          Save yourself the time and trouble and just get an Atheros card that works.  Lucky for you, I have an Intel C1037U and a working WiFi card.  Qualcomm Atheros Wireless AR5BHB92 AR9280 PCI-E Half Mini Card will do the trick.

                              Good point, I have not tried Infrastructure mode.  The last time I tried setting that up I could not get it to work so I haven't even considered it since.  It does work in AP mode just fine.  I got it working on both 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz but it won't do both, simultaneously.  Since I have some 2.4GHz only devices I stuck with 'N'.  I'll check my settings when I get home but it is WPA2 and I picked an empty channel, I think 8.  With my dual 6db antennas it gets quite good coverage.

                                The not supported WiFi PCIe card is the only thing keeping me away from installing pfSense this hardware.
                                By now I am running it in VMWare ESXi with two other virtual servers going very well.

                                I cant get this card to my country, and I can't buy on amazon.com :D
