assuming when you set up squid you didn't do something crazy, like tell it to use 30GB fro cache, and that you set it up correctly, it shouldn't outgrow your drive.  I would not worry if its 70% full.

Not sure what's happening there, but I'm using a 40 GB drive and only sitting at 2% usage.

        I think it's because squidGuard
        For two years
        It was about 16 percent

        Only after I installed squidGuard
A month ago, maybe a little less

        It started to fill

Your squid config will fill up to 10GB on its own and then should start to recycle space.

I wouldn't worry about it unless it actually fills 100% and crashes.

          Otherwise, let it run.

But that was a long time on 16 percent
            It started to fill
            Only after I installed squidGuard
So until now it was not working right ?

Probably - If you are sending most of your traffic through squid, it will fill a 10GB cache pretty quick.

I would imagine that you only just started using that cache recently.

You have log rotation selected but is it working as expected? Check the log file size in /var/squidguard.

Connect to the console with SSH, go to the /var/squidguard directory and list the files with their size using, for example, 'ls -lhS'.

I really am not seeing the issue here.  If you don't like seeing a high percentage of disk usage on a 20GB pfsense install, don't allocate 10GB to squid.

Not that your current setting are bad.  They are fine.  But if it makes you happy to not utilize 50% of your disk space, just set the squid for 50000 instead of 10000.

My squid installs ALWAYS filled the entire cache, and as far as I know, thats what it should be doing.  I think you are worried over nothing.

                            It may be works correctly
It just seems odd to me
It was a long time about 16 to 20 percent
And within two weeks jumped to 60 percent
I'm not going to change it
I wanted to know why Out of curiosity

                            If it works correctly now
It means that it did not work correctly before

                            go to the /var/squidguard

                            /var/squidguard: Command not found.

                                    At first I did

                                    cd /var/squidGuard/

                                    it give me this

                                    /var/squidguard: Command not found.

                                    so i try this

                                    cd /var/

                                    and then i try```
                                    cd /squidGuard/

                                    it didnt work

So I wrote down the command in the folder /var/

                                    ls -lhS

                                      it give me this

                                      /var/squidguard: Command not found.

Impossible. And kindly note that the filesystem is case sensitive. /var/squidGuard is NOT the same thing like /var/squidguard

Probably that's why it did not work

I wonder what would happen if you went to diagnostics > command prompt

                                          and entered:

                                          ls - l /var/squidguard

                                          ???

                                            $ ls - l /var/squidguard
ls: -: No such file or directory
ls: /var/squidguard: No such file or directory
