Fresh re-install of 2.1.5, then upgrade to 2.2.2 but Freebsd ver is 8.3-Release?
-
Hi there, i have 2 pfsense firewalls at different locations, they're awesome, but i recently had an HDD failure in one of the pfsense boxes, i replaced the drive, and took the same/original usb install drive i used to install it the first time in both machines (containing pfsense ver 2.1.5 i386). I swapped the hdd, installed pfsense without issue.
booted it up, reloaded my config, and upgraded it to 2.2.2 (using the automatic upgrade feature), but it didnt seem to upgrade the freebsd version from 8.3 to 10.1?
Currently one firewall has
2.2.2-RELEASE (i386)
built on Mon Apr 13 20:10:33 CDT 2015
FreeBSD wilson.localdomain 10.1-RELEASE-p9 FreeBSD 10.1-RELEASE-p9 #0 57b23e7(releng/10.1)-dirty: Mon Apr 13 20:33:39 CDT 2015 root@pfs22-i386-builder:/usr/obj.i386/usr/pfSensesrc/src/sys/pfSense_SMP.10 i386and the other has..
2.2.2-RELEASE (i386)
built on Mon Apr 13 20:10:33 CDT 2015
FreeBSD tucana.localdomain 8.3-RELEASE-p16 FreeBSD 8.3-RELEASE-p16 #0: Mon Aug 25 08:25:41 EDT 2014 root@pf2_1_1_i386.pfsense.org:/usr/obj.i386/usr/pfSensesrc/src/sys/pfSense_SMP.8 i386the only difference being, that the one that has Freebsd v10.1 on it, was upgraded from 2.1.5 -> 2.2 -> 2.2.1 -> 2.2.2
Where as the one stuck on 8.3 was upgraded from 2.1.5 -> 2.2.2.
i'm getting weird ipsec vpn disconnects, and i am not able to install pfblockerng on the pfsense box that is stuck on freebsd ver 8.3.
How can i upgrade the freebsd version from 8.3 to 10.1?
Thanks again!
