Hi Friends
I changed the admin password in my pfsense , Now I am not able to use ssh to pfsense form other machine what can I do retrieve it back please help me
Thanks

How did you change it?
Password changes must be done via the webgui otherwise things can get out of sync. Change it again via the webgui and you should be able to ssh on that account.Steve

I am not able to use passwd admin in command prompt ,its shows that no such user

I'm asking if that's how you tried to change it the first time because using passwd is not valid in pfSense.

Reseting the password should not change any other configuration.

The admin and root accounts are effectively the same in pfSense, they should have the same password.
I'm not entirely sure what you have done. You are still able to login as root, presumably using the old password, have you tried the old password with the admin account?Steve
