Those are different devices than these which have been withdrawn previously?

Still feature an HDMI port, is that working correctly now (was declared a FreeBSD issue previously).

Why use HDMI for a console port?  Why not USB, as Cisco does?  Cisco uses USB to connect to an internal USB-serial converter, so that a serial terminal program can be used.  They use mini USB, but micro might be more appropriate these days.

PfSense running on Qotom mini PC
i5 CPU, 4 GB memory, 32 GB SSD & 4 Intel Gb Ethernet ports.
          UniFi AC-Lite access point

          I haven't lost my mind. It's around here...somewhere...

Not just a firewall. Can run windows, be used for digital signage, etc.

Actually hdmi port is working only when device was booted with screen connected into port.
That means trouble with accessing console if device was booted without screen connected.
that can be fixed in future.
I am using Serial console on it, hooked up into FTDI Serial

              That's all.

In general my MBT-4220 Aka. SG-2340 works like a charm.
actually running pfSense 2.4 beta, however there is a way to instal pfSense 2.3.4 by injecting UEFI freebsd loader (You need to know FreeBSD basics), or by installing Coreboot/Seabios instead of existing UEFI (but keep spi flash programer near if you brick bios, you will need flash it using programer)

I did some performance routing tests , device will handle 1Gig link routing without any problems, with AES-NI accelerated IPsec i was able keep stable AES256-GCM tunnel with ~340 Mbps .

What i am worry about is using SNORT/Suricata , as rules are memory hungry and this device have only 2 GiB RAM.
I strongly  advise against using ZFS on this device as ZFS is well known as memory hungry FS.

so if my sg2220 decides to go out.  this would probably be my next purchase

i don't like the reviews of the SG1000 so far.  and a 4 port model is too expensive for my tastes.

thank you for posting this.. i will need to look around for more reviews on this..

EDIT.    dang it won't work on windows 7.    there goes using it for my ubnt NVR replacement device :(

We had a discussion about the smaller end of the market under "Official Hardware".
I believe that the APU2 devices fill this gap better and cheaper.
I would prefer to use Netgate Hardware when possible, however..

                      11 cheers for binary

Several factors like CPU type (not just desktop CPU), engineering and design, RAM, storage matter. This little board is a lot better quality than Qotom or similar 3rd party vendors.

Amazon is really working themselves into a pickle with all of the fake and counterfeit products they are allowing, aren't they.

I was just shopping for an EOtech holosight - about a $550 part - and all of the comments said they were Chinese knockoffs. EOtechs are made in Ann Arbor, Michigan. I did not buy from Amazon.

Just for clarification: I e-mailed with Jamie Thompson (owner of Netgate LLC) about delivery of those devices to Europe so I was confident that this offer on a-z is legit. FWIW
