DHCP Service not renewing IP lease
-
this is the second time that I've seen this issue. Once DHCP service has released all its IP in a span of time. DHCP service won't renew expired IP and re-release them again. I've updated already to the latest pfsense version but still No IP for the new device. so...
Temporary solution: Manually deleted expired IP leases on pdfsense and reboot the firewall. Ta da! finally device is connected.
Will there be a fix for this broken DHCP service (expire > renew > release) functionality, please?

So your saying expired leases are not being reused? Can you post some details?
Looking in my leases and don't see any expired.. What does the log say when your client attempts to get an IP? What is your lease time, etc.

Yeah I kind of remember that - but since we have no details from this poster, no way to know if something similar, etc.

Thanks Grimson. That's kind of same with my scenario.
After reading the entire discussion, it turns out that we have different source of problem. I'll come back with DHCP info.
