Hi guys, I am facing the problem that I installed pfsense 2.4.4 software in a new firewall, I configure it and when I check the packages there is no available package message In the available package tab. Could any one help me how to get the packages.

Hi,
This is a typical situation where settings are not default.
More precise : pfSense itself has no 'Internet'(actually : DNS) access. This situation often happens when people setup there own 'DNS' settings (the so called "8.8.8.8" age [Google should have chosen "6.6.6.6", things would be more easier for everybody because people would know without understanding] ).
Without a working DNS for pfSense itself, it can't find the "package site" , thus it can't populate the package list.Try this : reset your settings : console option 13 and only (I'm serious : only !!) setup WAN.
The package list will work.
If not, easy, your problems are upstream. -
The doc I'm linking is for upgrade troubleshooting but since upgrades and packages both use the same mechanism to pull info, this section is relevant to figuring out why you can't see packages, too:
