      Hi guys, I am facing the problem that I installed pfsense 2.4.4 software in a new firewall, I configure it and when I check the packages there is no available package message In the available package tab. Could any one help me how to get the packages.

        Hi,

        This is a typical situation where settings are not default.
        More precise : pfSense itself has no 'Internet'(actually : DNS) access. This situation often happens when people setup there own 'DNS' settings (the so called "8.8.8.8" age [Google should have chosen "6.6.6.6", things would be more easier for everybody because people would know without understanding] ).
        Without a working DNS for pfSense itself, it can't find the "package site" , thus it can't populate the package list.

        Try this : reset your settings : console option 13 and only (I'm serious : only !!) setup WAN.
        The package list will work.
        If not, easy, your problems are upstream.

        Edit : and where are the logs ??
