@stephenw10 I just had to reboot the router for it pickup the IPv6 addresses on the other interfaces. I was hoping to avoid that but I guess not.
-
Just added sfxge_load="YES" to /boot/loader.conf.local because I forgot to last night.....
-
@shaunmccloud How did this work out for you? I just received the same card this morning.

Worked great. Although I am switching to an Intel card just to make it easier to pass the NIC through to a VM (I am virtualizing pfSense).

@shaunmccloud good! , I'm setting the negotiation to 1G myself (10g switch hasn't arrived yet) I'm using this card as the up-link to my switch from the pfsense box
-
@theyboosting That is what I used it for.
-
@shaunmccloud did you have to compile a driver, or just add sfxge_load="YES to the loader.conf ? I tried using this HP 10G card but it was such a mess that I ended up throwing it out lol
-
@theyboosting Just added to sfxge_load="YES to the /boot/loader.conf and /boot/loader.conf.local
-
@shaunmccloud worked perfectly, making my vlan for g1/0/52 now.. Thanks for the info, much appreciated.

You only need to add the line to
/boot/loader.conf.local
. The standard file, /boot/loader.conf, may get overwritten.Steve
