Sir my laptop is using a Realtek PCIe Family. LED status on my laptop and so as with my gigabit switch are working.

Note that this issue was duplicated also in the manufacturer now.

But what NICs are in your pfSense device? Assuming you're not using your laptop for that.

What us that appliance? Do the LEDs show correctly when running a different OS, something Linux based?

What change was required to get them working in FreeBSD?

So fixed with a firmware update from the manufacturer?

just a follow up on this.

what if theres a new pfsense update. Can i update mine from the GUI?

If the fix here was in firmware, a BIOS update, then it would not affect a pfSense version upgrade.
