Where can I buy a replacement power supply for a new XG-7100-1U. We had some kind of a power outage in a datacenter, after which the power supply stopped working.

Have you tried googling the part number or maybe call Netgate.

Well this is concerning, we just had our 2nd XG-7100-1U powers supply fail. The first one we RMAed and indeed said it was the power supply. So i'm not sure what is going on with them.

@powerguy42 Sounds like an issue with the power feed to me.

@nogbadthebad I thought that on the first one, then I thought maybe it's a bad week on the 2nd, now with a 3rd it's gotta be the units..

3 different 7100, in 3 different locations/states with 3 different power feeds. All other equipment on same UPSs is working fine.

If I had that many power issues with any other one vendor I would say the same.

@nogbadthebad what sucks is we settled on the 7100-1u so we have around 50-60 deployed and its going to be downright horrible if I have one failing a week now. We have had some up for a year or two, so I dunno if maybe we got a bad batch. But this many failing in such a short period of time is really annoying to say the least.

Netgate support portal is blocked in my country for some reason, had to use VPN to submit a ticket, I thought it's down at first.

Got the device RMAed, it's on it's way to the US now. I asked for spare power supplies, so we could replace them quickly ourselves, however I was told by Netgate support, that this is very rare.

This is our second XG-7100-1U, that we installed in the same rack. First one works great, in the same rack. All other devices had no power supply related issues. Good thing we didn't have the time to setup HA stack as we were planning to :)

We have now had our 4th one fail. Worst power supply on planet earth.

We still have power supplies failing on these things, i think we are around 7 total failed PSU. Now we haven't had any failed of the ones that have been RMAed and replaced with a working power supply, so just a heads up if anyone has one they purchased in the last year. You might be in for some downtime.

@powerguy42 how many did you end have failing? Any luck with a replacement?

I just installed 11 or so of these in 2022 just before they suddenly went EOS. They have been OK but we suddenly had our first PSU failure. Now that I’m reading some more on these units, it sounds like the PSU failure is pretty common.
