This just started happening on the latest build - Wed Jul 06 02:14:14 CDT 2016

My packages are still installed from yesterday's development build, even though no packages are listed.

Updating from the Console/SSH seems like it works:

       0) Logout (SSH only)                  9) pfTop
       1) Assign Interfaces                 10) Filter Logs
       2) Set interface(s) IP address       11) Restart webConfigurator
       3) Reset webConfigurator password    12) PHP shell + pfSense tools
       4) Reset to factory defaults         13) Update from console
       5) Reboot system                     14) Disable Secure Shell (sshd)
       6) Halt system                       15) Restore recent configuration
       7) Ping host                         16) Restart PHP-FPM
       8) Shell

      Enter an option: 13

Renato found and fixed that. New quarterly ports branch merged yesterday included a new pkg version, which changed behavior there in that regard. You can upgrade fine to the next snapshot from the console (at least something two hours past the time of this post), and it'll work again at that point.

thanks! Using option 13 from the console did update the pfSense build, but unfortunately I am still getting the same issue from the GUI and Package Manager.

You can gitsync with RELENG_2_3 to get the new change or wait for upcoming snapshot

Go to shell (console option 8) and run:

                      pfSsh.php playback gitsync RELENG_2_3

2.3.2 is released now, you should be upgrading to the stable release not a snapshot (what this board is for).

Post in https://forum.pfsense.org/index.php?board=4.0 if you have question about upgrading to 2.3.2-RELEASE
