I recently purchased a SG-1000 and did the upgrade. Noticed that I wasn't getting and IP. I consoled in and discovered this. I did setup a Micro-SD card with the latest image. Did try shorting the pins to attempt to boot from the SD. The image was created on Windows via Rufus.

I have exactly the same problem. Tried creating the SD card from dd on a mac and then rufus on a PC.
very frustrating…..
-
There is a new(older) recovery image in the portal, which seems to be working….
Hurrah!
