Resolve internal web server
-
 hi
thanks for great forum and communityi have an internal website 192.168.100.76:8080/xyz/ i would like my Lan users access it through http://xyz.com
-
That's certainly easy enough to do. Just set up a host override on the DNS server.
-
 its not working

The error message is pretty clear. You should know what belongs to an IP address and what not, if you don't learn it.

so tell me how to solve this and make my scenario work ? i need http://192.168.100.76:8080/xyz/ to be translated to http://xyz.com

What you want, can only be achieved with a proxy. To make it less complicated, configure your web server to (also) listen to http://xyz.com.
Then set the host override with "xyz.com" in the Host box and only "192.168.100.76" in the IP Address field.
