      New Firewall Installation
I've have a new pf-sense installation for my home firewall. I haven't put any additional rules but my Box can't see the internet. The graph for my WAN interface shows there is traffic going out(outbound) But the interface cannot receive anything from outside. My WAN interface can't even ping it's out upstream interface. The gateway status shows offline. The LAN interface seems to be working fine as I can ping the WAN interface from in internal laptop.
      Please help...

Perhaps if you posted screenshots of your WAN/LAN details, people might have a clue to start with.

Well then nothing is going to work, since pfsense will not mark its gateway up.

What is this upstream IP? Your ISP another router?

@johnpoz I'm setting this up within the home network first as a test. My upstream IP is the the default Gateway(ISP modem/router). It looks like the modem is not communicating with my WAN interface, When I set my WAN interface to get dhcp address from the modem it get 0.0.0.0

Well then how would it work?

You sure your own the pfsense wan interface plugged into your router? You sure the cable is good?

When pfsense does get an IP you need to make sure that your wan and lan of pfsense do not overlap - ie they can not be the same network 192.168.0/24 for example
