Use pkg remove.

I meant install an mSATA drive into the 4860 and switch to booting from that instead. But if you have a complete spare unit it's not really an issue.

I figured out what happened after taking another stab at it. Manually assigning the ports did the trick. I was able to setup the router after that.

I would probably try low-level formatting it using the Intel SSD tool if you have Windows available.

You sure your own the pfsense wan interface plugged into your router? You sure the cable is good?

When pfsense does get an IP you need to make sure that your wan and lan of pfsense do not overlap - ie they can not be the same network 192.168.0/24 for example

some good news here.

Your statement that "pkg can't reach the pfsense servers" pointed me to the right direction; I haven't understood it fully, but I found a way at least to unlock the pkg issue.

In my case, it was due to a double stack IPv4/IPv6 issue: to solve it, I had to temporaly disable the network interface linked to the GIF port; removing IPv6 name resolution plus removing the IPv6 default gateway and firewall rules to route IPv6 traffic didn't suffice.

I don't like to be so inaccurate in test results, but as IPv6 connectivity was actually working, defining this problem will require some more tests and I meant to find a quick workaround for everybody experiencing this kind of issue.

I tried with 2.4.3. it give me two option for installation. I faced same issue of bootup complete.
