Configuring LAN and WAN on ixo and ix1
-
If you get DHCP on LAN (are you sure you are getting DHCP and not some cached lease showing up on the client) then you should be able to ping the pfSense LAN interface address if the firewall rules allow it. The default rules on LAN do.
Does Status > Interfaces show both ix ports as Status up?
Can you run the following and post the output?
ifconfig -vm ix0
ifconfig -vm ix1
OK to obfuscate any public IP addresses there. Both are safe to run in Diagnostics > Command Prompt.

I'm trying to post the output but it keeps marking it as spam. Any ideas?

I have everything connected and looked at the interfaces. It shows the WAN link is down. It must be something with the media converter or the modules. Here is the output of the ifconfig.

What shows the WAN link as down? That shows active.

Under Status—Interfaces. For some reason I swapped my IP address and gateway and now it shows active but the gateway is showing offline under Status—gateways. The info worked as is in my Ubiquiti USG. Kind of trying everything now.

Status > Interfaces has nothing to do with the gateway. It reflects link. And perhaps DHCP.
I would suggest you start at layer 1 and work your way up.

I did figure out one thing. I changed out media converters and modules. I read on another forum that the 7100 won’t auto negotiate to 1gb and only does 10gb without the upgraded board. I looked on the speeds for the WAN port and it only lists 10gb. Can I get the board upgraded?
