sometimes its very often and sometimes not. i use 2 Dlink NIc, one 530TX and one 530TX+. my ISP is Telia and my Switch is a ZyXEL ES-108A.

Does anyone have any answers to this problem??

  • Your ISP is possibly resetting your Internet IP address.

    Here's some recent history of my ISP changing my IP address: 12-Mar 8:24PM, 14-Mar 7:59AM, 14-Mar 6:50PM, 14-Mar 7:00PM, 14-Mar 7:05PM, 16-Mar 4:31PM, 16-Mar 4:36PM, 16-Mar 4:41PM, 16-Mar 4:46PM then every 5 minutes to 6:31PM, then 6:47PM.

I don't know why they started changing it every 5 minutes from 4:31PM. Perhaps some attempt to discover allocated addresses that are no longer in use because people have powered down their modem or computer.

It appears in your case the IP address doesn't change. In my logs (taken from another system that polls the Internet for my address every 5 minutes and only reports changes) the address did change.

  • i got dynamanic ip address at the moment. and i wondering to change to static ip so my ip address never changes. do you think my problem will solve then?
